Prerequisites

Before uploading and managing inventory in WMS, ensure that:

  • You have access to your Amazon SmartHub account.
  • Your warehouse and bin layouts are already configured.
  • You have the required permissions to manage inventory in WMS.
  • You have spreadsheet available to edit inventory templates.

Access the Inventory Dashboard

Step 1: Sign in to SmartHub

Go to SmartHub and sign in to your SmartHub seller account.

Step 2: Open the Inventory Section

From the SmartHub dashboard, click Inventory to access inventory management features.

The Inventory section allows you to manage inbound inventory, stock updates, and bulk uploads.

Receive Inventory Using Quick Inbound

Step 3: Open Quick Inbound

Click Quick inbound to begin receiving inventory into your warehouse. Quick Inbound helps you efficiently receive and stow products into warehouse bins.

Step 4: Enter or Scan Product ID

Click Scan or enter product ID to enter the product identifier for the inventory you are receiving.

Step 5: Enter Product Quantity

Specify the quantity of the product being added to inventory. Entering accurate quantities helps maintain correct stock availability within the system.

Step 6: Enter Bin Location

Click Scan or enter bin to specify the warehouse bin location where the inventory will be stored. 

Selecting the correct bin location helps improve inventory tracking and warehouse organization.

Step 7: Complete the Receiving Process

Click Receive and stow to finalize the inbound process and update inventory records. Once completed, the inventory will be added to the selected warehouse bin location.

Upload Inventory in Bulk

Step 8: Open the Bulk Upload Feature

Click Bulk Upload to upload multiple inventory records simultaneously. 

Bulk uploads help reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency for large inventory updates.

Step 9: Download the Inventory Template

Click Download template to download the standardized inventory upload file. The template ensures inventory data is uploaded in the correct format.

Step 10: Update the Inventory Template

Fill in the required details in the template, including:

  • Bin ID
  • SmartHub SKU
  • Quantity
  • Disposition (GOOD/BAD)
  • Expiration Date (Optional)
  • Manufacturing Date (Optional)

Ensure all information is accurate before saving the file.

Step 11: Select the Inventory Update Type

Click Inventory Update for sku's to select the appropriate inventory update option.

Step 12: Upload the Inventory File

Click Upload Inventory File to begin uploading the completed inventory template.

Step 13: Confirm the Upload

Click Upload Inventory File again to confirm and process the upload. The system will begin validating and processing the uploaded inventory data.

Monitor Inventory Upload Status

Step 14: Review Upload Status

You can monitor the upload progress and processing status in the Status column.

If any upload errors are identified, you can download the error report to review and correct the issues. 

Monitoring upload status helps ensure inventory records are updated successfully and accurately.
