You can now create virtual combo SKUs (bundled products) in SmartHub without maintaining separate physical inventory for bundles. This feature allows you to bundle multiple component SKUs together, automatically manage combo inventory based on component stock, and seamlessly process orders across all your sales channels.
Prerequisites
Before creating combo SKUs, ensure:
- Component SKUs are mapped to your sales channels (mandatory for WMS sellers)
- You understand your bundle composition and quantities needed
What are combo SKUs?
Combo SKUs are virtual bundles that combine multiple component SKUs into a single sellable product without requiring separate physical inventory. When you create a combo SKU, SmartHub automatically calculates available inventory based on your component stock levels and updates your sales channels in real-time.
Example: If you want to sell a "Gift Set" containing 1 Shampoo, 1 Conditioner, and 2 Face Masks, you can create one combo SKU instead of stocking pre-packaged gift sets.
Benefits of using combo SKUs
Using combo SKUs in SmartHub helps you:
- Increase flexibility to create multiple bundle variations from the same components
- Automate inventory updates as combo availability updates when component stock changes
- Simplify operations by picking and packing individual components
Steps to create component SKUs
Before creating combo SKUs, you must first create the individual component SKUs:

- Click Bulk Upload button
- Select Add New Product from the Operation Type dropdown
- Download the SKU creation template
- Fill in component SKU details in the template
- Upload the completed file

How combo inventory is calculated
SmartHub automatically calculates combo inventory using real-time component stock:
- Combo quantity equals the minimum result of (Component stock ÷ Required quantity) across all components
- Inventory recalculates whenever component stock changes or orders are processed
- Updated combo inventory pushes to all mapped sales channels automatically
System limitations and guardrails
Please note the following restrictions when creating combo SKUs:
Warning: Combo of combos is not allowed. You cannot create a combo SKU using other combo SKUs as components.
System limits:
- Maximum 5 component SKUs per combo
- One component SKU can be part of maximum 10 different combos
- For WMS sellers, component SKUs must be sold individually and channel-mapped
Experience
Combo SKUs are managed internally in SmartHub and do not affect your customers' shopping or ordering experience. Customers see and purchase the bundled product on your sales channels, while you benefit from simplified inventory management and automated stock calculations.
Supported Sales Channels
Combo SKUs are now available across all SmartHub channels including Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, Snapdeal and Myntra.
